2024 Recap

A Year of Gratitude and Success

As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, we at U.S. Century Bank want to express our deepest gratitude to you—our valued clients and dedicated employees. To our clients, thank you for opening your doors and sharing your success stories with us, and to our employees, thank you for being the driving force behind our growth. Your participation in our communities strengthens South Florida and fuels our journey forward.

Empowering the Next Generation: Supporting Local Schools and Branches

In 2024, we proudly partnered with local schools and the nonprofit organization Branches to create opportunities for young minds. This year, we welcomed a group of talented interns from Cristo Rey Miami High School and Christopher Columbus High School. These students gained real-world work experience and contributed innovative ideas across various departments. We extend heartfelt thanks to both schools for their dedication to preparing students for their future careers.

Further extending our community support, we partnered with E.W.F. Stirrup Elementary for their Thanksgiving food drive, helping provide much-needed resources to families in need. We also worked with Miami Jackson Senior High School to implement a financial literacy program to equip students with essential money management skills.

Additionally, our collaboration with Branches remained strong as we supported their Micro-Business Incubator, E-Lab & BE ONE, which focuses on equipping local micro-entrepreneurs with essential skills and aims to issue 100 microgrants over the year. We also had the pleasure of welcoming students and their families on Back to School Night, distributing supplies to support their educational journey. Our SVP/Director of Specialty Products, Richard Alfonso, has been instrumental in advancing Branches' mission, reflecting our commitment to community service.

Advancing Research for Childhood Cancer: SebastianStrong

Our commitment to funding pediatric cancer research stood out brightly in 2024 through our ongoing support of SebastianStrong. Inspired by Sebastian Ortiz's bravery, we are proud to have raised $50,000 through spirited events such as:

  • Rooftop Breakfast at Headquarters: An engaging morning of solidarity supporting pediatric cancer research.
  • Sunday Sailing Excursion: A serene day on the water that fostered camaraderie and contributed significantly to our fundraising efforts.
  • Trivia Challenge: With spirited competition, this event engaged our employees while supporting a noble cause.
  • Cutest Pet Contest: Adorable entries and enthusiastic voting brought joy while raising critical funds.
  • Dessert Sales: From arroz con leche to crème brûlée, our culinary fundraisers were a sweet success across our banking centers.
  • Lunch with HR: Building community spirit while supporting SebastianStrong.
  • Kayak the Keys for Hope: A remarkable 110-mile paddle, raising over $260,000 for the cause.

As we conclude another successful year, we are endlessly grateful to our community for trusting us with your banking and business future. Your confidence is the foundation that allows us to thrive. As we look to the future, we remain committed to supporting you as a partner in both financial success and community involvement. Happy Thanksgiving!
